ISO/IEC 27006-1: 2024 was published in March 2024. The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) has published IAF MD29 'Transition Requirements for ISO/IEC 27006-1: 2024' endorsing a 24-month transition period for the implementation of ISO/IEC 27006-1: 2024.

As such, the information security management system (ISMS) certification bodies shall conform to ISO/IEC 27006-1: 2024 by 31 March 2026. ISO 14066: 2023 was published in August 2023. The IAF passed a resolution (2023-15) endorsing a two-year transition period of ISO 14066: 2023 from 31 August 2023.

As such, greenhouse gas validation and verification bodies shall conform to ISO 14066: 2023 on or before 31 August 2025. ISO 22003-1: 2022 was published in June 2022. The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) has published IAF MD 27: 2023 ‘Transition Requirements for ISO 22003-1: 2022’ endorsing a 36-month transition period for the implementation of ISO 22003-1: 2022.

As such, food safety management system certification bodies shall conform to ISO 22003-1: 2022 by 30 June 2025. For details, please refer to ‘Schedule for Implementation of ISO 22003-1: 2022 in Accreditation of Food Safety Management System Certification Bodies’.

ISO/IEC 17043:2023 ‘Conformity assessment - General requirements for the competence of proficiency testing providers’ was published in May 2023.

International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) has endorsed a three-year transition period.

Accredited Proficiency Testing Providers shall conform to the requirements in ISO/IEC 17043:2023 by the tentative deadline of 31 May 2026. For details, please refer to Transition Schedule for ISO/IEC 17043:2023.

ISO 15189:2022 was published in December 2022.

International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) has endorsed a three-year transition period.

Accredited medical laboratories shall conform to the requirements in ISO 15189:2022 by 31 December 2025. For details, please refer to Transition Schedule for ISO 15189:2022.
