Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is often used for high-accuracy multiple measurement tasks. ISO 10360-2 is the standard for the verification of CMM on linear dimension measurement. The standard is widely accepted by industries in assessing the capability of a CMM.

The Standards and Calibration Laboratory (SCL) provides on-site verification service for CMM in accordance with ISO 10360-2. The service includes assessing the probing error and the length measurement error E₀. The latter is obtained by measurement in 7 orientations using step gauges and laser interferometer. Measurement errors at specific length L, E_L, can also be provided upon request.

SCL also provides verification services on multiple stylus contacting probing systems and CMMs used in scanning measuring mode.
