Spectral Responsivity of Photodetector
The calibration of a photodetector includes the determination of spectral responsivity, which measures the ratio of the detector output in ampere (A) to the incident beam radiant power in watt (W) with a unit of A/W, at a specified wavelength. At SCL, a photodetector under test is calibrated by comparing with reference photodetectors via a precision double monochromator, which is used for the selection of specific monochromatic optical signal from a standard lamp source. Wavelength range covers from 200 nm to 1800 nm, with calibration and measurement capability (CMC) of 0.4%.
Regular Spectral Transmittance of Optical Filter
The regular spectral transmittance is defined as the ratio between the optical radiation signals from the monochromatic beam with and without passing through the optical filter under test. The calibration is performed at ambient temperature with the monochromatic incident beam perpendicular to the front surface of the optical filter under test. Regular spectral transmittance between 0.01 to 1 at wavelength between 400 nm to 1000 nm can be calibrated with CMC of 0.5%.
Wavelength Meter/Spectrometer/Wavelength Source
The wavelength of the emission lines of a light source is calibrated by comparing with a set of reference lamps with known emission spectral lines. Calibration range is from 250 nm to 600 nm with CMC of 1.5 nm.
