About PSIB

The PSIB was established in 1987 when the former Industry Department considered setting up an organisation which would deal with all matters pertaining to standards as part of its work in providing infrastructural support for high technology sectors of the manufacturing industry.

 

• to promote the general awareness of the importance and benefits of standards in underpinning the development of technology and products;
• to facilitate compliance with standards which enhances the competiveness and support cross-border trade.

To achieve the above objectives, PSIB

• provides standards related services;
• participates in international activities relating to standardisation

 

• Product Standards Resource Centre (including technical enquiry service)
• Standards Sales Service
