Five R&D centres showcase innovative projects at SmartBiz Expo 2018
To promote the projects and explore business opportunities of the five local research and development (R&D) centres, an "Innovation and Technology Commission Pavilion" was set up by Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) at the second SmartBiz Expo held from December 5 to 7. ITC Pavilion also marked the finale of "InnoTech Month 2018".

The five R&D centres, including Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems R&D Centre (APAS), Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA), Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM) and Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI), showcased their latest innovations and achievements during the 3-day expo.

SmartBiz Expo was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, it gathered more than 520 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions showcasing their latest business solutions, technology applications and operations support as a one-stop platform. Seminars featuring hot topics such as "Industry 4.0", "Smart City" and "E-commerce" were also held at the event.
